DAPA has recently been approached by Quiksilver to come on board for their major events to give a more creative focus to their various media outputs. The idea that surfing is far more than just watching a surfer on a wave is very important for expanding the Quiksilver brand into more lifestyle opportunities. DAPA aims on these events to show stories that are often overlooked in the surfing community, everything from art to music to old surfing tales from the old guy who has been there for 60 years. DAPA is responsible for producing the daily TV show on the event along with a short documentary for TV on completion of the contest that wraps up all the happenings of the two week period. These events are usually chaotic with massive crowds and unpredictable weather conditions which make for a fun challenge.
